Employment and Training

As a company Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration are committed to the delivery of Quality, Timely and Competitive Service to our valued clients. The Team at Jackson & Jackson pride themselves in their ability to deliver a Complete Package from Supply and Installation to Repairs and Servicing for the installed equipment in all facets of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical Repairs and Installation.

Our focus is on the total cost of ownership of installed plant and equipment. This includes the energy cost associated with running the equipment over it’s service life. The ongoing energy consumption of equipment is of prime consideration in the selection of any equipment to be installed.

The aim of the company is to provide a great experience during every staff member’s term of employment at Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd. We offer the opportunity to be a part of a great team and offer a challenging and rewarding place to learn and work.

The company social club organizes many and various functions each year. Some of the staff members are part of the company rowing club which won the Megan Everett Shield in the 2006 Cairns Corporate Challenge.

It is an aim of Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd to upskill every staff member during their term of employment with the company. An annual intake of apprentices in both the refrigeration and electrical trades is undertaken.

Over twelve apprentices have received their trade certificates since the company started operations in Innisfail. There are currently fourteen apprentices currently employed with the company, including tradesmen undertaking their second trade apprenticeship.

Apprentices completing their trade training are offered the opportunity of undertaking a second apprenticeship with the aim of gaining trade qualifications in both the refrigeration and electrical trades.

In areas of the business where an apprenticeship is unavailable, traineeships are offered. This includes the certificate 3 in administration and certificate 4 in frontline management. Short courses are offered in all areas of the business and include internal and external training.

This includes software applications used in the administration process and Austel cabling licenses for field staff. Specialized control training is conducted in house each year. All training fees are funded by the company training budget.
