Bob started in the refrigeration trade in 1963 as an apprentice and after a 5 year apprenticeship, qualified as an electrical fitter/mechanic in 1968. Bob has been involved in the refrigeration, air-conditioning and electrical trade since that time. Bob is highly experienced in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry in both permit and installation. Bob designed and commissioned the first CO² Freezer plant in Far North Queensland. Bob and his business partner, Bill Petersen, started Petersen and Jackson Refrigeration in Cairns during the 1970’s. Jeff Jackson began his career in the Refrigeration Industry, as a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic in 1987, shortly thereafter completing his second trade qualification as an Electrician. He was a founding partner in Jackson & Jackson (Qld) Pty Ltd which was the company forerunner to Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd. Jackson & Jackson (Qld) Pty Ltd was founded in 1993 and established Innisfail as its head-office in 1994. At this time, Jeff relocated to Innisfail and worked for the company, in the field, as a Dual Trade Technician. This entity was restructured in 1998 with Jeff Jackson heading up the company as General Manager a few years later. In 2006, the company underwent a further change with a management buy-out and reformed as Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd. Jeff Jackson was the founding General Manager and became the Managing Director of Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd in 2009. Jeff Jackson is experienced in and passionate about the refrigeration, air-conditioning and electrical trades and is continuing to strategically maintain strong leadership and growth of Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd. |

Kent Alley’s family has a long connection with Far North Queensland. Kent has been a resident of Cairns for 50 years; his family first settled in Gordonvale in 1877 and still reside there today. Kent enjoys camping, fishing, spear-fishing and all things related to outdoor leisure. The majority of Kent’s secondary education was completed in Gordonvale, attending his final year at The Church of England Grammar School, Brisbane in 1976. Kent commenced his working life in the building industry in 1981 and ventured into commercial property development in and around the Cairns area. He first began his career move into the Refrigeration Industry in 1999 with Environ and was responsible for assembly of cold rooms and working his way up to the level of Supervising the Installation Department in 2001. This role involved supervision of up to 25 employees in the domestic and commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration industry. Kent held this role until 2006 when he joined the Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd team as a Project Manager. Geoff attended Machans Beach Primary School, Years 1-7 and Cairns State High, Years 8-9. He then began his career in the refrigeration industry with Machans Refrigeration where he undertook the first 2 years of his apprenticeship. Geoff then transferred to Greenhalgh Refrigeration completing his apprenticeship in 1968 and worked there until 1971. From then until 1982, Geoff worked for Comalco in Weipa as a service technician leaving to relocate south where he worked for K. Huston and Associates for 3 years in Bundaberg and Maryborough. Upon return to Cairns, he worked with Quickcool Industries until a position became available with Petersen & Jackson. Geoff has been involved with many large projects including all refrigeration at the Cairns International Hotel. When Environ took over Petersen & Jackson, Geoff stayed on as Service Manager. Geoff then left the industry for a brief time to set up Machan Sheet Metal with his son until who later purchased Geoff's share of the business, allowing him to return to the refrigeration industry as a service technician with Haden, Innisfail. Geoff then joined forces with Bob and Jeff Jackson, Kent Alley and a number of others to purchase the company and transformed it into Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd. Geoff continues to be an active part of this company, with over 45years experience. As a Director, Geoff leads the service departments for the entire company. Geoff is married to Sandy and they have 4 grown children and a number of grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, speedway and gardening outside of his love of refrigeration. |

Ben Wone completed his Secondary Education with prevocational courses in electrical and refrigeration mechanics, in 1999. He then embarked on his chosen career path in the Refrigeration Industry, with his initial apprenticeship being completed with Environ in July 2000.
Whilst undertaking his second trade as an electrician, Ben took on the role of Leading Tradesman. By this time, Environ had been taken over by Haden. During February 2007, Ben took on an administrative role as Project Supervisor where he was responsible for organization and costing of labour for 16 tradesmen and apprentices. Ben managed an average of 100 small installation jobs at any one time and in July 2008 made the move to Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd as Project Manager and Estimator, based in the Cairns Branch. Ben has relished this opportunity to tackle this challenging, yet very satisfying role during the current economic times. Ben looks to the future of growing the business of Jackson & Jackson Refrigeration Pty Ltd through innovative energy efficient solutions for commercial refrigeration customers in Far North Queensland and is also looking to grow the Service Department by continuing to offer quality customer service and excellent workmanship to more service sites in the Cairns Region. |

Stan is a born and bred local who has worked in the mechanical services industry for the past 21 years.
Stan moved with his family to Atherton in 2009 to establish the new Jackson & Jackson Atherton Tablelands Branch office and is continuously striving to develop his Knowledge by focusing on further training and education opportunities including completing Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical Trade. Stan’s future vision includes growing the business and profile of Jackson and Jackson on the Tablelands and providing excellent customer service and advice in all areas of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. |
